Ecolution are proud to share that our co-founding director Kevin Knapp is now on the Building Engineering Services Association (BESA) council.
“The Building Engineering Services Association is the UK’s leading trade organisation for building engineering services contractors – representing the interests of firms active in the design, installation, commissioning, maintenance, control and management of engineering systems and services in buildings.”- BESA
Why the BESA?
Established in 1999, Ecolution have made their mark within the construction and building engineering industry. Ecolution ultimately aim to make buildings as energy efficient as possible, through a wide range of technologies. These include, but are not limited to, solar photovoltaics (PV), solar thermal, air source heat pumps, ground source heat pumps, mechanical ventilation heat recovery (MVHR), energy storage and even rainwater harvesting.
Not only do we install these technologies but also provide technical design and advice, maintenance and commissioning. Each of these services are strongly affected by all issues that the association are trying to change and improve.
Ecolution are dedicated to strengthening the building industry and making building regulations as efficient as possible. We also believe in building young talent and offer a range of apprenticeships, some of our best engineers have trained through our apprenticeship schemes and we want to encourage this throughout UK construction companies. These values mirror those of the BESA and the association’s objectives project the key reasons why Kevin co-founded Ecolution Group.
Kevin Knapp speaks of his affiliation with the BESA:
“I am proud to be part of such a strong tradition, the BESA is one of the most senior associations in building engineering in the UK. BESA speaks on behalf of its members for a whole range of issues in the industry from improving air quality and Part L of the Building Regulations, to apprenticeships and technologies – which I think is so important for protecting the future of our industry.”
Well done Kevin, you will make a great addition to the association!
