On Saturday 30th July we hosted our very first Ecolution sponsored walk / run, in aid of Murdered Abroad and Dandelion Time.
We would like to thank everybody who took part and helped raise an impressive: £4970
The event had a great turnout of almost 100 people and some extra four-legged friends ready to complete the 10km Darenth Valley Path.Dandelion Time’s resident dog even came dressed up for the occasion in his yellow charity top!
Some of the runners finished the 10km in an impressive 40 minutes, leading the pack through the beautiful countryside admiring the colourful lavender fields and impressive views Darenth Valley has to offer.
Not forgetting our surprise guest The Flash who turned up in full costume with the addition of capes on his socks which fluttered in the wind as he sped through the countryside turning a few heads I'm sure.
After a long morning (especially for those who got lost and walked an extra few kilometres!) everyone reached the last leg of the route making their way through the village to the local pub where we had a lovely spread with a much-needed hog roast and cold beverage waiting for us.
Dandelion Time and Murdered Abroad both represented the causes with heart-warming speeches to finish the day, reinforcing why the day was so important to them what the money raised would mean for the individuals they help.
We ended the day with a few garden games in the summer sun
