Ecolution Products will be giving weekly and monthly reports on MCS registered install figures.
October was a positive month with growth from previous months. The average amount of sub 4kw installs per week in September was 1926. The average in October was 2184. We see this a a good steady incline in systems being installed and registered. Ecolution Products feels that this is a very positive point in the industry at the moment and based on our work with our customers we are all seeing the amount of projects increase steadily. October also saw the highest amount of installs in one week since the last FIT drop in July.
The first set of figures for the week ending the 3rd November have also been released. These figures are down on Octobers average, but still higher than the first few weeks of September. We do not feel there is much to read into this, with a mix of the week including the end of month for October and the start of November, it is always difficult to judge. So let’s see where things stand over the next couple of weeks. It is also a difficult time of year to judge the progression of the PV industry with the winter months and the holiday periods coming in 6 to 8 weeks’ time.
These numbers also take the number of installs in total up to just under 480,400 sub 50wk installs. It won’t be too long until the country hits half a million. This will be a nice milestone for our industry.
